Simply Sent

Summary & Takeaways

I got a great chance to help out an entrepreneuer bring his business dream to life of an e-commerce site where business people can keep track of their colleauges’ major life events and buy gifts for them. This was a solo gig where I provided all design direction.

The Challenge

Challenge

The entrepreneuer behind Simply Sent wanted me to help him build an e-ommerce site that provided a shopping center for business people to buy gifts for business colleagues to mark special occasions.

Client

Simply Sent is an entreprenuerial B2C e-commerce venture designed to help corporate workers maintain a schedule of their colleagues’ important life events and dates and purchase appropriate gifts for them in a timely manner.

My Role

Content audit, site map, user flows, wireframes

Initial Sketches

The entrepreneuer sent me his versions of sketches done in Balsamiq. I first laid out the site with a site map to organize the navigation and pieces of content on the site.

Site Map

I created a few versions of the site map to show what content would be available if the user was not logged into the site as well as when the user was logged into the site.

User Flows

The user flow needed to follow a new user and a registered user through the e-commerce checkout process.

Wireframes

I created wireframes for the dashboard when user is not logged in and logged in. When the user is logged in, the dashboard will show their contacts, event/occasion schedule and gift ideas personalized to their contact list.
